BENELUX Paris Tour 6 Nights 7 Days (Paris Departure, Cologne Return)
Tour Program
1. Day Istanbul- Paris (Eiffel Tower-Seine River-Notre Dame Cathedral-Montmartre-Sacré-Cœur)
Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After ticket, passport, and baggage procedures, departure to Paris on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, we leave the airport and set out to discover the wonders of Paris. Our first stop is the Eiffel Tower, almost the symbol of the city and France. After taking the elevator to the second floor of the 330-meter-high tower, built for the 1889 World Fair, we enjoy the magnificent view of Paris. After visiting the Eiffel Tower, we set out on a Seine River cruise by boat. You will see Paris’s most magnificent buildings up close and experience unforgettable moments passing under the bridges of the Seine River. Then we visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a marvel of Gothic architecture. With a history of more than 850 years, the cathedral has also been the subject of many stories. After our guide explains the interior and exterior of the cathedral, where the coronation ceremonies of many French kings, including Napoleon, were once held, our next stop will be Montmartre (Painters’ Hill), the only hill in Paris. In the neighborhood where bohemian life still continues, you can have your portrait drawn by street artists. We will also have the opportunity to see the SacreCour Basilica located in the same area and visible from almost everywhere in Paris. Dinner and accommodation after the tour.
Depending on the time, the Paris Mosque will be visited for the noon/afternoon prayer.
2. Day Paris
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have a full day of free time. Guests who wish can take the Louvre and Outlet tour (70 Euro; museum entrance ticket, local guiding and transportation included), and guests who wish can take the Disneyland tour (150 Euro; 2 park entrance tickets and transportation). Dinner and accommodation after the tour.
3. Day Paris – Luxembourg – Brussels
After breakfast at our hotel, we will depart for Luxembourg. Among the places we will see are the Petrus Valley, the Cathedral famous for its stained glass, and the Duke’s Palace, which was originally the Town Hall and later converted into a palace. Then we will head to Brussels. On our panoramic city tour of Brussels, the places we will see include the Palace of Justice, Brussels Cathedral, Grand Place Square, the Manneken Pis Statue, and the Atomium monument. After our tour, dinner and accommodation.
4. Day Brussels – Bruges – Ghent
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Bruges. On the panoramic city tour where we will get to know Bruges, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, the sights to be seen include: Markt Square surrounded by Guild Houses, the Belfry Tower, one of the city’s symbols, Our Ladies Church, one of Belgium’s most important churches, and the historic Burg Square, known as the city’s administrative and religious center, the City Hall, and the Basilica of the Holy Blood. Afterwards, we continue with our city tour of Ghent, the fairy-tale land, where the Schelde River and the Lys River meet; adorned with canals, natural beauty, and striking buildings with medieval, Neo-Gothic, and Baroque architecture, as well as historic structures dating back to the Middle Ages; with enchanting atmospheres. St. Bavo Cathedral, Saint Michael’s Bridge, Korenmarkt, and Graslei are among the sights to be seen. After our tour, dinner and accommodation.
5. Day Ghent – Zaanse Schans – Amsterdam
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Amsterdam. Our first stop will be Zaanse Schans, a charming town with windmills. Then, on the Amsterdam city tour: after seeing the Fatih Mosque (built as a neo-Renaissance-style Catholic church and serving Muslims since 1981), Waterlooplein, the Flower Market, Rokin Street, Dam Square, the Royal Palace, Damrak Street, and Central Station, we have dinner and overnight stay.
6. Day Amsterdam – Volendam – Marken – Giethoorn
After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the unusual fishing village of Volendam. You will never get enough of the time you spend in the harbor area of Volendam, an old fishing village that inspired the song “Anyone who wants to see the real beauty of the Netherlands should go to Volendam.” We give free time for shopping in this fishing village full of charming houses and many inexpensive souvenir shops. After Volendam, we head to the island of Marken. During our walk on this island, where 1,200 people live today, we will have the opportunity to photograph typical dark green and black wooden 18th-century fishing houses. Then we continue to Giethoorn, known as the Venice of the Netherlands. With its canals, this village, which resembles a postcard and a film set adapted from fairy tales and seems to have been created by hobbits, will make you feel in a very unusual atmosphere as we tour Giethoorn. After a delightful and experience-filled boat tour, we return to Amsterdam. Dinner and accommodation.
7. Day Amsterdam-Cologne-Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Cologne. Upon our arrival, we begin our city tour. Among the places to be seen on our city tour are the Cologne Triangle, which stands out with its architectural design, the Historic Hohenzollern Bridge, the historic Cologne Cathedral, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and completed after 632 years, the Rhine River, which gives the city a different silhouette, the Kolumba Museum, the Old Town Hall, and the Ditip Central Mosque, one of the examples of Ottoman architecture, whose construction involved intense effort. At the end of our tour, we will gather at the time determined by our guide and depart for the airport. Return to Istanbul and the end of our tour.
