A Journey with a Bouquet: Uzbekistan Tour During the November Break
Tour Program
1. Day ISTANBUL – TASHKENT
Our journey begins with our meeting in front of Turkish Airlines counters at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After check-in and passport procedures, we depart for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on Turkish Airlines flight TK366 at 07:15. Following a flight of approximately 4.5 hours, we arrive in Tashkent at 13:55 and begin our city tour. In Tashkent, known for its wide and orderly streets, we visit the Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, the Barak Han Madrasa (now housing souvenir shops and handicraft workshops), and the Hazret Imam Mosque. After visiting Timur Square and Independence Square, we visit Chorsu Bazaar, which has been used as a marketplace for approximately 2,000 years. After free time, we enjoy Uzbek pilaf at dinner and check into our hotel in Tashkent. Overnight at our hotel.
2. Day Tashkent – Samarkand
After having breakfast at the hotel, we proceed to Tashkent Train Station and set off towards Samarkand. After approximately 2 hours of travel, we arrive in Samarkand and begin our city tour. Our journey starts with Gur-i Emir (Tomb of Amir Timur). Next, we visit Registan Square and the Ulugh Beg, Tilla Kari, and Sher-Dor Madrasas located there. Following a visit to Bibi Khanum Mosque, we move on to the Shah-i-Zinde Tomb Complex, where we pay respects at the grave of Qusam bin Abbas, the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. Finally, we see the Ulugh Beg Observatory, visit the tombs of Imam Maturidi and Khoja Ubeydullah-ı Ahrar, and then have dinner. Overnight stay in Samarkand.
3. Day Samarkand – Bukhara
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, before departing, we will visit the tomb of Imam Bukhari, one of the most important hadith scholars in the Islamic world. After our visit, we will depart for Bukhara by bus. On the way, we will visit the tombs of Abdulkhalik Gijduwani, Arif Rivgeri, and Mahmud Incir Fagnevi, known as the Seven Saints (Yedi Pirler), reaching Bukhara. In Bukhara, one of the most important stops on the historic Silk Road; the Tomb of Ismail Samani, the Tomb and Fountain of Prophet Ayyub, Bolo Hauz Mosque, Ark Fortress, and Poi Kalan Complex (Kalan Minaret, Mir Arab Madrasah, Friday Mosque), Ulugh Beg Madrasah, Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah, Magaki Attari Mosque, Nadir Divan Begi Madrasah, and Char Minar will be visited. After free time for shopping in the Silk Road bazaars, we will spend the night at our hotel in Bukhara.
4. Day BUHARA – KHIVA
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we visit the graves of Seyyid Emir Külal and Bahauddin Shah-i Nakshband (k.s.) and his mothers, one of the most exceptional stops of our Bukhara tour. After the visits, we cross the Kyzylkum Desert and proceed along the Amudarya (Ceyhun) River towards Khiva, the ancient capital of Khorezm. We arrive in Khiva in the late afternoon, check into the hotel, and have dinner. Overnight in Khiva.
5. Day HIVE
Today we are touring Khiva all day. After breakfast, we enter the historic city of Khiva, located very close to the Turkmenistan border, through the Ata Darvaza Gate. We will visit Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kohe Ark Fortress, Muhammad Rahim Khan Madrasah and Khiva Khans Museum, Muhammad Emin Inak Madrasah and Science Museum, Allah Kulu Khan Stone Courtyard Palace and Harem Section, Juma Mosque and Minaret, Islam Hoja Madrasah and Minaret. After visiting Pehlivan Darvaza Gate and Pehlivan Mahmud Mausoleum, there will be shopping and free time. Overnight in Khiva.
6. Day HIVE – URGENCH – ISTANBUL
After having breakfast early in the morning, we transfer to Urgench Airport, approximately 40 km away. After baggage and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 08:30 on Turkish Airlines flight TK263. We arrive at Istanbul Airport at 11:00, marking the end of our enjoyable tour.
