Spain & Andalusia Tour (Barcelona Departure - Madrid Return)
Tour Program
1. Day Istanbul – Barcelona
Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. Flight to Barcelona with Turkish Airlines scheduled service. Upon our arrival in Barcelona, we begin our city tour. Christopher Columbus Monument, La Sagrada Familia Church, La Rambla Street, Montjuic Hill, Spain and Catalunya Squares, Paseo de Gracia, Gran Via Street, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port are among the sights to be seen, as well as Park Güell, one of the works of Spanish modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, an open-air museum decorated with colorful mosaics and organic shapes, one of Barcelona's most iconic and enchanting spots. Transfer to our hotel after the city tour. Dinner and accommodation.
2. Day Barcelona – Valencia
After breakfast, Valencia, the beautiful city on the shores of the Costa del Azahar in the east of Spain, awaits us. Holding the title of the country’s third largest city after Madrid and Barcelona, Valencia is among the cities that must be seen in the world with its historical and cultural richness. During our tour in Valencia, the places we will see include El Micalet Cathedral, the bullfighting arena, Dela Virgen, Tores De Seranos Cathedral and Bell Tower, Mercado Central, the historic trade center La Lonja, and the National Museum. However, we will not only visit historical structures; we will also visit the City of Science and Arts, completed in recent years, which includes Europe’s largest Aquarium and the giant dome called Hemisferic, taking you on a journey into the depths of the universe, along with dozens of fascinating activities. After our tour, dinner and accommodation.
3. Day Valencia – Granada
After breakfast, we head to Granada. Our first stop in Granada will be the Alhambra Palace, with its magnificent gardens and incredibly beautiful decorations. During our long palace tour, we will both admire the wonders of the Nasrid Kingdom and, as we leave the palace, embrace Granada as seen from San Nicolas Hill. The city is waiting for us; in Albacin, the old Arab quarter, we will walk its steep streets accompanied by the pleasant melodies of street performers, see the Morabütün Mosque, and reach Gran Via, the city’s main avenue, and Isabel de Catholica Square, which bears the queen’s name. After a short coffee break, the Granada Cathedral, which we will see from the outside, and the bazaars await us. Guests who wish may stroll through the bazaars of this beautiful city, while those who wish may taste the famous tapas in the cafes of the city’s beautiful squares that greet you at every corner. Dinner and accommodation after the tour.
4. Day Granada – Seville
After breakfast, we depart for Seville. Upon our arrival, we begin our city tour. Plaza de España, María Luisa Park, and the Seville Cathedral, which was once the Great Mosque of Seville and was converted into a church, with centuries of additions making it today Spain's largest cathedral, and whose courtyard annex is still standing, will be among the places we will see panoramically, as well as the Giralda minaret, which was once the mosque's minaret and later turned into a bell tower. After the city tour, our stop is Seville Fashion Outlet. After shopping and free time, we gather at the time determined by our guide and depart for the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
5. Day Seville – Cordoba – Toledo – Madrid
After breakfast, we depart for Cordoba, the capital of Andalusia. Upon arrival in Cordoba, we see the Roman bridge, the Vadi Elkebir (Guadalkavir) river, and enter the old city of Cordoba through the Roman gate. After seeing the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the main works of Islamic architecture with 850 columns remaining from the Umayyads, a section of which was converted into a cathedral after the fall of Andalusia but still retains its magnificence, the Jewish Quarter, and the Cordoba Synagogue built with Andalusian architecture, we see the statues of famous Andalusian emirs in the old streets of Cordoba and the remaining parts of the city walls. Then we depart for Toledo, one of the world’s most beautiful historic medieval cities, protected by UNESCO, after the old libraries located along the banks of the Vadi Elkebir river. In Toledo, there is the Toledo Cathedral, built on the ruins of an old mosque, the historic streets of Toledo, and many works by the famous painter El Greco, who is synonymous with Toledo. At the end of the tour, we depart for Madrid. Arrival in Madrid, dinner and overnight stay.
6. Day Madrid – Istanbul
After breakfast, we begin our city tour. The places to be seen, in order, are: Gran Via street, Plaza de España, Don Quixote monument, Pyramids, the Royal Palace (from outside), the ruins of Madrid Grand Mosque, Plaza Mayor square, free time at Puerto del Sol square, then Paseo de la Castellana street, the Sibele monument, and the Real Madrid stadium. After our city tour, we will depart for the airport at the time determined by our guide. After baggage and ticket procedures, departure to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight and the end of our tour.
